In 1965, GCP pioneered the waterproofing category when it introduced BITUTHENE® self-adhered waterproofing membrane to advance paint-on damp proofing to a more robust waterproofing system. In 1978, the company advanced roofing technologies by introducing the first self-adhering roofing underlayment, GRACE ICE & WATER SHIELD®. This flagship product has been contractors' go-to solution to protect homes and buildings from wind-driven rain and ice dams for more than 40 years. Today, GCP’s newest generation of products, VYCOR® fully-adhered weather resistive barriers and flashings, deliver robust protection for owners and help extend the longevity of buildings in the face of harsh weather.
